CLEVELAND, Ohio — The teaming of Danger Mouse with the Roots’ Black Thought leads a batch of new releases from Goo Goo Dolls, Erasure, Collective Soul and more (all subject to change)…
Album of the Week: Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton’s rich catalog of collaborations includes work with the Black Keys and bands such as Gnarls Barkley (with Cee-Lo Green) and Broken Bells (with the Shins’ James Mercer). Danger Mouse’s latest team-up is with the Roots’ Black Thought for “Cheat Codes” (BMG), a 12-track hip-hop set that features guest appearances by Run the Jewels, A$AP Rocky, Michael Kiwanuka, the late MF Doom, Raekwon and more.
Album Title of the Week: The Mr. T Experience, “Revenge is Sweet and So Are You” (Sound Rad)
Did Ya Know?: “Demoiselle” (7a) is a “lost” solo album that the Monkees’ Micky Dolenz planned for the early ‘90s but never saw an official release. The tracks were recorded from 1981-1992, and three were recorded by the Monkees for the 1996 reunion album, “Justus.”
